The ECA
Posted in Announcements by Relic on February 25th, 2008The Video Game Club at FGCU has just formed its own chapter in the ECA, a non-profit lobbyist organization that defends gamers’ rights. Subscription is only $14.99 yearly (for students or veterans) or $17.99 yearly else-wise, significantly less overall than an MMO monthly fee, and as our chapter grows the VGC also benefits. We held our first ECA member raffle/tournament for the two games and $50 gift card that we received for being the largest ECA chapter last meeting, February 22nd 2008. Jeffrey Dean won first place, Jonathon Eren second, and Keith Bergsma third. If the chapter grows, expect to see similar events in the future.
