FGCU Video Game Club

Hello Everyone,

We had a great turn out for Retro Night, I hope everyone enjoyed themselves playing the great classics. Some of the classic games that were beaten by club members during Retro night included: Sonic and Knuckles for SEGA Genesis, Sonic the Fighters for Arcade, and Super Mario Bros for the Nintendo Entertainment system. Congratulations to the VGC members that successfully beat those classic games. Sadly we have no golden eye turny winner to announce because the cartridge wasn’t working for the majority of the night. 

In other club news: The Super Smash Brother Brawl Tournament rules have been posted in the forum. (Please note that the current rules are in a beta stage and are subject to change!)

Attention!

If you want a stylish new VGC T-Shirt were going to need your shirt sizes. We have to figure out how many where getting and what sizes to order. We will be doing this over the next TWO meetings during attendance. You may also put your Shirt size request in the forum topic ( http://www.fgcuvgc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=179 ). Either way just please note we have to get these Shirt sizes ASAP!

Hey everyone!

We had an amazing turn out for the first meeting, welcome all newbies and old ones. (Yes Justin, you’re old.) Just wanted to make sure I went over lightly what our meeting covered. We had two representives from Best Buy come to our meeting and they gave us some sweet deals. If you want a free $5 all you need to do is subscribe to their twitter thingy: twitter.com/BBYcoconutpoint (Come on, free money!)

Also make sure to check out our calendar for future dates of specialness like the Golden Eye Tourny Sept. 19th in the SU ballroom. You know you love old school FPS.

Please do make note that I am stepping down from VP. We had nominations this meeting, but if anyone else would like to nominate themselves or someone else email: vgc@eagle.fgcu.edu. Currently we have three people running: Brian, Bryan, and Kevin. Whoever wins gets to go on a hunting trip, and can ‘accidently’ shoot someone to their liking. Pretty nice deal.
