Who are we?
One of the longest running clubs recognized at FGCU, the Video Game Club offers students and non-students alike a chance to meet others who share like interests free of charge. One need not be a professional gamer to participate, either; we prefer a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that emphasizes social networking over skill. Simply put, our mission is to create a community based around a mutual love of video games.
Should you join?
If you enjoy playing games in any way, or enjoy watching people play them, visit one of our weekly meetings and introduce yourself. If you had fun, feel free to come back next week. The only prerequisites for membership are attendance and a student ID, although off-campus visitors are welcome anytime.
What are club members like?
Our club caters to a wide variety of gamers, from the professional to the casual. We host periodic tournaments yearly, from Halo to Smash Brothers, so competitive gamers have a place to prove their worth, but we also have room reservations for an entire hallway and are able to set up rooms specifically for a certain skill level. If you are looking for a challenge, the Video Game Club offers it. If you are just looking for a place to enjoy Friday nights, you’ve just found it.

We send out weekly e-mails regarding upcoming events, so it’s often the best way to stay informed.
